Nicholas Pooran, a Caribbean cricketer from Trinidad, is a wicketkeeper-batter. The left-hand batter has made himself a name with powerful knocks in T20 cricket.

Nicholas Pooran Performance in IPL 2024
Nicholas Pooran put up his best-ever IPL batting performance in the 2024 season. He represented Lucknow Super Giants for the second time in a row and ended up as their second-highest run-scorer.
Pooran accumulated 499 runs from 14 innings at an average of 62.75 and a strike rate of 178.21. The left-hander also scored three fifties in the process. Six of his 30+ knocks came at an outrageous strike rate of 180+.

Nicholas Pooran’s last IPL appearance came on May 17, 2024, which was also Lucknow’s last league match in the season. Pooran signed off from the IPL 2024 in some style as he displayed his best piece of work with the bat.

Nicholas Pooran IPL Earnings & Auction History
Nicholas Poorans’s first IPL deal was with Mumbai Indians. The franchise bought him in the 2017 auction for INR 30 lakhs, though he didn’t play in the season.
He wasn’t involved in the 2018 season, but he bagged a new deal with Kings XI Punjab in 2019. They signed him for INR 4.20 crore, and he stayed with them for three seasons.
Due to a poor outing in 2021, Punjab released Pooran ahead of the 2022 auction, and he moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad at INR 10.75 crore. Despite a good season with Hyderabad, the franchise let go of him.
In the 2023 auction, Lucknow Super Giants raised the winning bid of INR 16 crore to acquire the services of Pooran. Now, before the IPL 2025 season, the Lucknow franchise has retained him for a whopping INR 21 crore.
