Early Debut in IPL Career
Pat Cummins played his debut IPL match in the 2014 season. He represented Kolkata Knight Riders against Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens on May 8, 2014.
Cummins had a decent outing in his maiden appearance, taking one wicket while conceding 29 runs in four overs. He even delivered one maiden over. But this was the only match he featured in the season.

Pat Cummins Performance in IPL 2024
Pat Cummins first made waves in the 2024 mini-auction, then doubled it up with his leadership skills and bowling performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The Australian pacer racked up 18 wickets in 16 matches, though he was a bit expensive, conceding 30+ runs in 12 of those matches. He also displayed his batting skills, scoring crucial runs in fewer balls coming down the order.
Apart from that, Cummins captained Hyderabad and took them to the final of the 2024 season, which they eventually lost against Kolkata.

Last Match in IPL 2024
Pat Cummins’ last appearance in the IPL 2024 came in the final of the season. He captained Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on May 26, 2024.
Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first on a slower Chepauk track. But his decision didn’t go well, as Hyderabad mustered 113 runs. Cummins was their highest run-scorer, scoring 24 runs in 19 balls.
Later, the pacer picked up an early wicket, but that wasn’t enough to hold up Kolkata from chasing the small total.

Pat Cummins IPL Auction Price & History:
Pat Cummins first entered the IPL arena in 2014. Kolkata Knight Riders handed Cummins his first IPL deal at INR 1 crore.
He was with the Knight Riders for one more season before heading to Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals) camp at INR 4.5 crore in 2017.
In the 2018 mega auction, Mumbai Indians signed Cummins for INR 5.40 crore, but he didn’t feature in the season due to an injury. The pacer put his name in the 2020 auction pool and secured another stint with Kolkata at INR 15.50 crore. He remained with them for three seasons before deciding not to play IPL in 2023.
Cummins returned in the 2024 mega-auction, and a bidding war ensued over him. But Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired him at a whopping INR 20.50 crore, setting new records.
