But when it comes to bowling, he’s been doing a solid job for the squad. In the two matches so far, he’s taken two wickets—both of them being crucial dismissals of the opposing team captains, Rishabh Pant from the Lucknow Super Giants and Shubman Gill from the Gujarat Titans. During the press conference before the upcoming match against Rajasthan, Joshi talked about just how much they’ll lean on Maxwell’s experience in tough situations this season.
Joshi was clear about his thoughts on Maxwell’s importance: “I really think Maxwell is key for us when it comes to spin bowling. Every cricket ground has its own quirks and challenges, and he knows how to handle many of them. He’s stepped up in the last couple of games, and given his background and experience, I’m confident he’ll shine in our home matches.”
