Pat Cummins creates another record in his name by becoming the first player to score a consecutive hat trick dismissing the batsmen orders on multiple occasions.
Australia had a dominating day with the ball during their T20 World Cup 2024, Super 8 match against Afghanistan In Kingstown, St. Vincent on Sunday. Bowling against Afghanistan Cummins picked up his second consecutive Hat-Trick dismissing the Afghanistan Rashid Khan, Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib in just three deliveries delivering the last 18th over ball and in the 20th over.

Starting the match by winning toss, Aussie Skipper Mitchell Marsh opted to field first, and allowed Afghanistan to bat first, batting down the lane till 16 overs the openers of Afghanistan were leading the match single handedly and built a partnership of 118 runs keeping Australia on Back foot. After scoring back to back consecutive Hat-Tricks, the Aussie player has etched his name by becoming the first player to record a double hat trick in the world cup and also the first Australian player to do so.
This is the Eighth time when any player in the whole world cup history has achieved this success and completed a Hat-Trick and also the first player to achieve this feat on multiple occasions in the same tournament.
Cummins confessed he didn’t realize he had taken a Hat-Trick during the Bangladesh match, but this time he was aware of his achievement.
“I remembered that one,” Cummins said during the innings break.”
