What happened to Jofra Archer?
Jofra Archer’s time with England has been interrupted by injuries. He hasn’t played in important matches for over a year because of problems with his back and elbow. but the 29-year-old fast bowler made a big splash when he first started playing for England. He was so good that he quickly got to play test matches too.
An elbow injury sidelined Archer for a year, but he’s getting back to return to action and helping England win this four-match series against Pakistan and bring on his older form, and hence is excited to be back in action for England.
Confirming his return jos Butler asked fans not to expect too much so soon and to give him the time he needs to get back in his form.
Jos Butler confirmed the return of Archer to T20I cricket
Jos Butler was seen happy upon the return of Jofra Archer in the series against Pakistan.
He said and expressed the importance of Archer being on the ground and being an asset to the team he stated
“He’s fully fit, and the medical team will advise how best to manage that,” Buttler was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. “(He’ll play) as many as possible: he’s missed a lot of cricket and he’s desperate to get back out there and be a big part of the team.
“Any player of Jofra’s calibre is a huge asset to any team. Absolutely, he makes us a better side and (gives us) a better chance of winning games. But we have to temper expectations, not put too much pressure on him, and ease him back in. The great success would be him coming through this series with a big smile on his face and his body holding up. That would be a success to me.”
