Before the 4th Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England in Manchester on July 23, the BCCI announced that Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh are injured.
Young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will miss the entire England Test series. He got hurt in the gym on Sunday. Scans showed ligament damage so he won’t play and will return home to recover. Nitish was absent when the Indian team met Manchester United players and staff on Sunday probably because of the injury.
Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is also injured and won’t play in the 4th Test. He hurt his left thumb during practice last week while bowling. Reports say he needed stitches and doctors think it will take around 10 days to heal. He won’t play in the 4th Test and it’s not sure if he’ll play in the final Test at The Oval (starting July 31).
