The Asia Cup 2025 schedule will be out in a day or two. The tournament is from September 8-28 thanks to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh sorting out their issues at the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka.
Eight teams will play: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong. This will be the 17th edition in September 2025.
India and Pakistan will be in the same group so there will be multiple matches between them. Past issues including concerns after a terror attack in Pahalgam that delayed the tournament are now sorted out.
The ACC meeting was attended by representatives from all 25 member countries and was important to confirm the event details. Rajeev Shukla, the BCCI vice-president, was present virtually.
With all issues resolved the Asia Cup is back on track after years of disagreements. Word is the schedule will be out partly on Saturday, July 26 and fully by Monday, according to Cricbuzz.
The tournament will be in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The BCCI, the host, is finalizing the schedule. While small changes are possible the dates will mostly remain the same and will be in the second and third week of September.
