Sourav Ganguly has warned the Indian team not to make the same mistake with Jasprit Bumrah as they did in the recent Australia tour for the upcoming England series. The former captain has said that the team management should not make Bumrah bowl more than 12 or 13 overs.
Instead of making Bumrah do all the work, Ganguly believes that the entire fast bowling unit will have to play a key role, with others doing the heavy lifting and Bumrah’s overs being treated as gold dust.

“I think four fast bowlers are must. In this set up others will have to be the workhorses — like Siraj, Arshdeep,” he said.
One of the biggest concerns in the Australia tour was the lack of support for Bumrah, which put additional pressure on the Indian bowlers and Rohit Sharma kept banking on the premier bowler for the breakthroughs.
India’s fast bowling combination has not been announced but they have a good bunch of them. Bumrah will lead the line along with Mohammed Siraj as the experienced lot. To add to this they have Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep and Arshdeep who will have to fight for one spot.

The Indian Test team will start a new journey with Shubman Gill as the new captain. His first game as captain will be tough and Bumrah will be key in the series. He has 37 wickets in 9 matches he has played in England.
The series starts on June 20 and it’s already been established that Bumrah won’t play all 5 matches.
