Parth Jindal, the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, has officially sent an email to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to find a substitute venue for this crucial game against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025, to be played on Wednesday night.
He added that heavy rainfall was forecast, which could very well get the game canceled. Jindal said it would be fair to move the meeting to create a level playing field. This is after the BCCI took the decision to shift a Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Lucknow Super Giants game out of Bengaluru in light of unfavorable weather forecasts.
In the said email, Jindal has stated the rain forecast for Mumbai, saying that there is every chance that the game would not take place. Citing the precedent, he said that since all parties have been aware of this rain forecast for days, it would be wise to look at options for shifting tomorrow’s game as well.
