Following an intense first day, the IPL 2025 auction will return with day 2 in Jeddah. The first day saw franchises splurge almost INR 467 crore on 72 players.
Teams still have to fill the empty slots, and the second day of the auction will see a few more fierce bidding wars. So many prominent players haven’t yet gone under the hammer, and they will be up for grabs today.

When will the second day of IPL 2025 Auction begin?
The IPL 2025 auction will resume at the same time as yesterday. Day 2 will kick off at 3:30 PM IST and 1:00 PM AST (Saudi Arabia time). The auction will continue till 11:00 PM IST.
How will the IPL 2025 Auction proceed on day 2?
The second day of the mega auction will resume with set 13, consisting of capped batters. It will be followed by set 14, set 15, set 16, and set 17.
33 players in the above five sets will go under the hammer one by one. Then the auction will move into the accelerated process, with select players getting the chance to go under the hammer.
Teams have submitted a list of players they want to bid on from sets 17 to 79. Only those players will be part of the accelerated process. Once that’s done, the unsold players from day 1 and day 2 will be again up for grabs towards the end of the auction.
When will be the lunch break in IPL 2025 Auction on day 2?
The lunch break will be taken after the conclusion of set 17. It will last for 45 minute.
