Ishan Kishan, the wicketkeeper-batter, has signed a short term deal with Nottinghamshire. He will play in just two County Championship matches this season, replacing South African Kyle Verreynne who’s going to play in the Test series against Zimbabwe. Kishan will be available for the Yorkshire game on June 22 and the Somerset game on June 29 in Taunton.
Kishan has played 2 Tests for India and has 78 runs to his name. In his First Class career he has played 58 matches and has 3,447 runs at an average of 37.87. He had a tough year last year when he didn’t play Ranji Trophy and as a result he lost his central contract. This season he is back playing for Jharkhand in Ranji Trophy.
