According to ESPNcricinfo, Hazlewood was in Australia undergoing some rehab for an injured shoulder and is now all set to return to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the IPL 2025 playoffs. The break allowed for Hazlewood’s return to Australia, where he made preparations in Brisbane to be fit for the World Test Championship final against South Africa.
Hazlewood was rested for RCB’s last game against Chennai Super Kings, but the big man is still right up there among the other top bowlers; 18 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 17.28 this season. RCB is doing quite well this year: they have won eight matches and lost three. They play Sunrisers Hyderabad in Lucknow on Friday and will complete their league fixtures against Lucknow Super Giants. There is still the possibility of a top-two finish; they are hoping the new recruits will give further support.
