Plenty of huge transactions are being made for delivery in the remaining IPL for 2025. Gujarat Titans have signed Sri Lankan batter Kusal Mendis as a replacement for Jos Buttler, who has his national duties from May 26; PBKS have brought in Kyle Jamieson to replace the injured Lockie Ferguson, and for LSG, William O’Rourke replaces Mayank Yadav.
Kusal Mendis will join GT for 75 Lakhs and begin immediately upon Buttler’s exit. If that is Kusal’s first stint in the IPL, he will probably be playing an important role in the number 3 slot should GT make it to the playoffs. Kyle Jamieson, the tall Kiwi, is back in the IPL after a few years. He had played nine matches for RCB in 2021 and would bolster the PBKS bowling attack that already features the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Xavier Bartlett, Marco Jansen, and Yuzvendra Chahal. He has been signed for INR 2 Crore.

William O’Rourke gets into the IPL for the first time for the replacement of Mayank Yadav, who was injured after just two matches this season. O’Rourke is quick and has been a good bowler for New Zealand of late. Just remember that are all ineligible for retention next year following the replacement rules put in place for IPL 2025. O’Rourke and Jamieson will join their teams immediately while Mendis will join GT after Buttler heads back to England.
