PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has asked in Pakistan media Samaa TV to personally pay the fine levied against fast bowler Haris Rauf by the ICC. The ICC fined Rauf penalising him 30% of his match fees for using abusive language in the tense Asia Cup Super Fours clash against India.
On a similar note, the ICC took disciplinary action against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for making comments about the Pahalgam terror attack, fining him 30% of his match fees much the same.
Cricket Resolved has quoted Haris Rauf as earning 418,584 PKR for one T20I match. Thirty percent of that would be 125,575 PKR (roughly 39,000 INR). Therefore, Mohsin Naqvi shall be footing the fine of 39,000 INR for Haris Rauf.
Also to be kept in mind is that despite being an administrative head of a cricketing body, Naqvi shared a Cristiano Ronaldo meme expressing the 6-0 lay-up, the very issue which earned Rauf his fine.
The sanctions came about following the match during which Rauf was found guilty of a Level 1 offence for his on-field conduct that saw him involved in an aggressive exchange with Indian batters and finally making a boundary-line gesture. Sahibzada Farhan was the next offender with a gun-shot celebration following his half-century, and he too was issued with an official warning by the match referee.

According to the report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had lodged a formal complaint with ICC match referee Andy Pycroft over the behaviour of both Pakistan players, which they felt was beyond acceptable on-field behaviour.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had also lodged two complaints against Sri Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav before the ICC. The PCB was objecting to his comments after the group-stage game on 14 September, alleging that he brought political issues into the sport.
ESPNcricinfo further reported that Suryakumar was found guilty by the ICC for breaching the code of conduct. The Indian skipper had pleaded not guilty to the charge, but his plea was rejected by the match referee Richie Richardson. It was further reported that the PCB had called for a stiffer Level 4 sanction against Suryakumar, reserved for those found guilty of the gravest breaches.
