The new captain of the national women’s cricket team is now Nat Sciver-Brunt, as announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). She replaces Heather Knight, who announced her resignation after a tough Ashes series where England lost every single match.
Since then, she’s been a vital part of the England setup, having been around since her international debut in 2013, and now she is going to lead the side across all formats.
Having been a double winner as ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year in 2022 and 2023, in addition to being PCA Women’s Player of the Year in 2017 and 2022, she now found her name in the ICC Women’s ODI and T20 Teams of the Year in 2023. With this, she is currently placed third in the rankings of the ICC World.
