New Zealand is heading to India for a white-ball series in January 2026, according to TOI. 8 matches—3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. Venues not announced yet but this series will help both teams prepare for T20 World Cup in India next year.
The 5 T20Is will give the Kiwis a chance to get used to playing in Indian conditions before the World Cup.
The 3 ODIs will also help both teams finalize their squads for the 2027 World Cup. Series starts on January 11 and ends on January 30 so everyone has enough time to get ready for the big ICC event.

Right now the white ball series is on track and no Tests are scheduled between the teams. That could change as the series approaches. Last time New Zealand was in India was in 2024 for a 3 Test series which they won 3-0 and dented India’s WTC finals chances. This time India will be looking to turn the tables and win the 8 match series.
