Nitish Reddy may break Yuvraj’s record soon. India is gearing up for the 4th Test against England starting July 23 at Old Trafford in Manchester. Reddy hasn’t had a big game yet, will try to find his form when he plays against England next week.
Though Reddy isn’t hitting well, he has shown his worth with the ball a few times. Last year he had a century in Australia, his first in Tests. But he hasn’t been at his best in England.
After sitting out in the Leeds Test, Reddy replaced Shardul Thakur in the team. He scored 2 runs (1 and 1) at Edgbaston and 43 runs (30 and 13) at Lord’s. With the ball he took 3 wickets for 82 runs in the 3rd Test, including the wickets of England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. If he plays in the 4th Test in Manchester, he may break Yuvraj’s record.
Yuvraj ended his Test career with 9 wickets. Nitish has 8 wickets in 7 matches. Yuvraj played 40 Tests for India but wasn’t a big threat with the ball. But Yuvraj retired with 1900 runs, including 3 centuries and 11 fifties.

India won at Edgbaston for the first time in this series but Old Trafford in Manchester is still a tough place for them. India has played 9 Tests here and hasn’t won one yet, with 4 losses and 5 draws.
The last Test India played here was in 2014 when they lost by an innings and 54 runs. From the current team, only Ravindra Jadeja and head coach Gautam Gambhir played in that match. No one else in this team has played at Old Trafford before.
