Purani Dilli 6 who reached the semi-finals of 2024 Delhi Premier League (DPL) added some interesting players to their team in the Season 2 auctions on Sunday in Delhi.
Before the auction the team unveiled their new jersey for 2025 season. The design is new and represents the spirit and energy of Purani Dilli.
With Rishabh Pant already in the team Purani Dilli 6 went into the auction with a plan to build a balanced and flexible team.
They made some good picks, got Vansh Bedi for Rs.16 lakhs, Dev Lakra for Rs.14 lakhs, Aayush Singh and Samarth Seth for Rs.9 lakhs each. This strengthens their team with local talent.
Purani Dilli 6 coach Vijay Dahiya said, We wanted to get as many all-rounders as possible to make the team flexible. We picked players who can do a bit of everything which is important in T20 cricket.
Akash Nangia owner of Purani Dilli 6 was happy with the auction and where the team is headed. He said, We are happy with the team. It has a good mix of experience and new talent. With Rishabh Pant leading the way we are confident and excited for next season.

Purani Dilli 6 performed well in DPL 2024 they played well in the league stage but their journey ended when the semi-final match was washed out.
DDCA has announced that two new men’s teams will join the Delhi Premier League. Outer Delhi and New Delhi will join in 2025 season making the league bigger with 8 teams.
Season 2 of DPL will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Dates will be announced soon.
