India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has picked a five-wicket haul in the fresh round of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He is playing for Saurashtra and his team is playing against Delhi. Delhi won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the Saurashtra bowlers, led by Jadeja, bowled out the Ayush Badoni-led side by 188 runs. The T20 World Cup 2024 winner took five wickets for 66 runs in 17.4 overs.
On the other hand, Dharmendra Jadeja took three wickets while Jaydev Unadkat and Yuvraj Dodiya took one wicket each. For the national capital-based side, skipper Badoni (60) was the only one to score a fifty while Rishabh Pant, who is playing a first-class game after eight years, scored only one run. Jadeja also contributed with the bat as he scored 38 off 36 balls but got out towards the end of the day.

Rest of the India players had a bad Ranji outing
On the other hand, other India Cricket Team members such as captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal participated for their respective sides. Sharma and Jaiswal opened the batting for the first time in First Class cricket. However, the left-hander, Jaiswal scored only four while Sharma managed to get only three runs. Iyer managed only 11 runs.
Shardul Thakur, an out of favor bowling all-rounder, scored a fifty and helped the team reach 120 after being 47/7 at one stage in the game against J&K.
Shubman Gill, who is playing for Punjab against Karnataka, had a poor outing alongside his team members. Gill scored only four runs and his team was bowled out for 55 runs. In reply, Karnataka have scored 199/4 at stumps.
