In 7 T20I series, this is the first time Bangladesh has won against Sri Lanka. It was also Bangladesh’s first series win against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka in any format.
2. Biggest Win By Balls vs Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka won the first game, but Bangladesh came back with two wins. In the third T20I, Bangladesh won by 8 wickets with 21 balls left. This is their biggest win against Sri Lanka in T20Is in terms of balls remaining. The previous record was 11 balls in Sylhet last year.

Litton Das, Bangladesh’s captain, has lost all 9 tosses in 9 T20Is he has captained.
4. Mahedi Hasan Plays Well For Bangladesh
Mahedi Hasan, an off-spinner, took 4 wickets in the third T20I and reached 50 T20 wickets. He is now the 5th Bangladeshi to do so, after Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam.

5. Good Series Win For Litton Das
With this 2-1 series win, Litton Das is the first Bangladesh captain to win 2 T20I series overseas. He also led the team to a 3-0 series win against West Indies in the Caribbean.
6. Good Opening For Bangladesh
Tanzid Tamim scored 73 not out off 47 balls. This is the highest score by a Bangladeshi opener against Sri Lanka in T20Is. It beats Mohammad Naim’s 62 off 52 balls in Sharjah during the 2021 T20 World Cup.
