Before the 3rd Test against England, Indian wicketkeeper/batter Rishabh Pant spoke about the memorable win at Lord’s during India’s last tour to England in 2021. He is grateful for another chance and said the team is getting more confident with each game.
India’s last tour to England ended in a 2-2 draw but India had a famous win at Lord’s.
In a video posted by BCCI, Rishabh Pant said, Everyone knows it’s a special ground. It was amazing to see everyone come together to win that test match. Now God has been kind and I’ve got another chance with a different team in a different role.
India and England will play the 3rd Test of the 5 match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at Lord’s starting July 10.
Pant also spoke about India’s confidence after a 336 run win at Edgbaston which levelled the series 1-1.
The way the team is playing, everyone is getting more confident with each match. This is something we’re going to take from the last match as a team—lots of confidence. We hope we can make it 2-1 now.
Indian batter KL Rahul said he was happy and enjoyed playing at Lord’s. He values his place on the honors board and wants to score a lot of runs to help India win.

I’m happy to have played here. It’s a good feeling to come here, enter the dressing room and see the honors board with your name on it. I hope I can perform well here again, get as many runs as I can and put my team in a position to win, KL Rahul said.
Rahul has played 2 Test matches at Lord’s, scoring 152 runs and one century.
Team India had great batting and bowling performances without Bumrah, with captain Shubman Gill scoring 269 and 161. Mohammed Siraj took 6 wickets and Akash Deep took 10 wickets at Birmingham.
India and England have played 19 times at Lord’s. England has won 12 and India has won only 3.
