Rishabh Pant has joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) camp to get ready for the next Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. He has played his entire career with Delhi Capitals, but now, Pant is going to lead LSG in the 18th edition of the competition.
The Indian wicketkeeper-batter was seen talking about plans with his new teammates during a recent practice. Pant, along with the LSG team management, wants to make a space where every player can ‘speak their mind’. He also asked the senior players to help the younger guys on the team with what they know.
“We want to build a place where people can come and be themselves. It’s a simple idea, but it takes work from everyone. It’s not just the management; I think the players can make it happen, Pant said in a video LSG shared on X (Twitter).

“There’s a lot of know-how in the group. The management has a lot of experience, too. We have senior players like Nikky P (Nicholas Pooran), (Aiden) Makram, and (David) Miller. They should share what they know with the younger guys and let it rub off on the whole group, he added.
Pant also asked his teammates to support each other. He thinks all the players will play their best if they trust each other.
“We can learn a lot from the senior guys. Take it one day at a time, give 100 percent, and always think about what’s best for the team, without worrying if the team will support you, Pant said.
Before ending, the 27-year-old added, “Let’s have a lot of love for each other. When we leave here, we should try to be better players and better people, and just have a lot of fun together.
Pant was the most expensive player at the IPL 2025 mega auction; LSG paid Rs 27 crore for him. He played 110 matches for DC since 2016 and scored 3,284 runs with an average of over 35. As the LSG captain, Pant will play his former team in the first game on March 24.
