Campbell Kellaway from Victoria made an amazing catch in the WACA outfield in Australia. Even though the video from the streaming cameras was a bit rough, it was still one of the coolest plays of the 2024-25 Sheffield Shield season.
Sachin Tendulkar, the famous Master Blaster, saw it too. He was super impressed and called the Aussie Superman and Spiderman because the catch was just unreal.
So, Kellaway, who’s 22, first thought Cameron Gannon’s hook shot was going to go way over at long-on. But he jumped and somehow caught the ball with his right hand. That catch wrapped up Victoria’s 34-run victory against Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield at the WACA on Tuesday.
Tendulkar was so shocked that he went to X to say how awesome he thought the catch was, comparing Kellaway to superheroes.
Tendulkar posted on X: Was that an audition for @SpiderMan or @Superman? That catch is crazy. Just awesome.
Was it an audition for @SpiderMan or @Superman? This is truly a mind-boggling catch. 😮

Kellaway also scored a superb, not out, 165, so the catch was like icing on the cake. He deservedly got the Player of the Match award.
Victoria’s captain, Will Sutherland, said, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better catch.
Even though it wasn’t filmed with the best cameras, it still looked great. The fact that he caught it while looking into the sun makes it even more amazing. It might even be better than his 150.
