Travis Head, the opening batsman for Sunrisers Hyderabad, having passed the COVID-19 protocols, will be making his comeback against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. He had missed the last game against Lucknow due to COVID-19, but now, according to bowling coach James Franklin, he is ready to go. “As far as I know, he’s fit and ready for selection,” said Franklin.
Head hasn’t had the best season so far, having scored 281 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 156.11, while he was amazing last year and helped the team reach finals against Kolkata Knight Riders. In 2025, the initial promise was there but he found it difficult to convert his starts into big scores.
For RCB, this game is very important. Under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, they will have to win both remaining games to secure a number two finish and have a better chance at the final. The good news is that both Patidar and Phil Salt are fit. “Rajat took some time to recover from a bad knock on his right hand, but he’s good to go. Phil was sick for a bit, but the break helped him recharge. Now he’s back in form,” said coach Andy Flower.
