Virat Kohli wants TV folks to stop talking about his lunch. Seriously, he’s not into them discussing his favorite foods or where he likes to eat in Delhi. He’d rather they focus on the actual game and what players are experiencing.
The TV show should be about the game, not what I ate yesterday or my favorite chole-bhature place. That’s not right for cricket. Talk about what the athlete is going through, instead, Kohli said.
Kohli’s super fit, like Cristiano Ronaldo or Novak Djokovic. He’s known for his dedication and hardly ever indulges in his favorite foods so he can stay in top condition.
This batting star is getting closer to the end of his career, but he isn’t quitting just yet.
“Don’t worry, I’m not announcing anything. I’m still good. I still love playing, Kohli said.
He says he won’t stop playing cricket as long as he still loves the game.
Kohli, who’s won four ICC titles with Indian teams, is super happy about cricket being back in the Olympics. He thinks the IPL had a big part in making that happen.
Cricket will be at the Los Angeles Games in 2028.
“Being an Olympic champion would feel incredible. The IPL definitely helped make this happen. Now it’s part of the Olympics, which is cool for our players, Kohli said.
“The athletes will get a taste of it, something new. I bet we’ll be close to a medal. Both the men and women will play together, he added.
Kohli quit T20Is last year but joked that he might come back if India makes it to the gold medal match.
“For the Olympics, who knows? If we’re playing for gold, I might sneak in for a game, grab a medal, and then head home. But overall, it’s awesome for the sport, Kohli said.
