Ryan ten Doeschate, India’s assistant coach, thinks Jasprit Bumrah will play in the 4th Test at Old Trafford.
Bumrah had taken 5 wickets in an innings twice at Headingley and Lord’s, was rested for the 2nd Test at Edgbaston to give Akash Deep a game. The team has been careful with Bumrah’s workload as he has been getting injured a lot. He has bowled well on the tour, 12 wickets in 4 innings at 43.
Before the next Test at Old Trafford, Ryan ten Doeschate said Bumrah will play.
We will decide in Manchester. We know we have him for one of the last two Tests. The series is on the line in Manchester so we will play him, said ten Doeschate.
The 3rd Test at Lord’s was close but India lost. Bumrah bowled 43 overs and batted 54 balls in the 2nd innings with Ravindra Jadeja.

Since he was very active in the 5 day Test, fans wondered if he would play in the Manchester Test. Having 9 days between the 3rd and 4th Test, he had a lot of time to rest. Since he had a lot of time to rest, it looks like India will have him in the playing XI for the next game.
