WPL 2026 Team Lineup Retention Regulation
Every franchise will receive a total purse of INR 15 crores and will be allowed to keep up to five players of which maximum two can be from overseas, the rest can be Indian. The team will have to allocate one spot for an Indian uncapped player if it makes use of all five retention slots.
The retention divisions are as follows:

- 2nd retention – INR 2.5 Cr
- 3rd retention – INR 1.75 Cr
