The upcoming exciting opener of Rajasthan Royals is also in his second season with the team since 2020, so he posted a heartfelt message on Instagram that generated a lot of buzz about his future. So, Jaiswal was snapped up by RR just before the 2020 season for INR 2.40 crore; he is now a steadfast opening batsman for them. While there are no confirmed rumors of him leaving, the message of “Thank You” has, however, created some speculation.
RR concluded its IPL 2025 campaign with a win over CSK on May 20, and forthwith on May 22, Jaiswal wrote an Instagram post expressing his gratitude:
“Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but I’m grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings. YBJ 64.”
The fans took this as a hint that he might be departing from the franchise, with whispers floating around that he will join Mumbai Indians for the 2026 season.

Since his debut in 2020, Jaiswal has made a name for himself as he scored 625 runs in 14 innings in 2023 with an average of 48.08. He did really well in 2024 too, with 425 runs, and this season he kept an average of 43, the second highest for him in IPL. Although Jaiswal is doing well, this is a tough year for RR. They managed to win only 4 out of 14 matches and stood 9th on the points table, just above Chennai Super Kings.
