Pro Kabaddi League 2024 Final: Date, Time, Teams, Venue and Live Streaming

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024 is about to end, with the final scheduled for December 29 in Pune. Two teams have made it to the summit clash after tussling with the other 10 teams in the league stage and playoffs.

Last season’s runners-up Haryana Steelers will take on three-time PKL champions Patna Pirates in the final.

Pro Kabaddi League 2024: Journey to the Final

Haryana Steelers:

Led by Jaideep Dahiya under the guidance of coach Manpreet Singh, the Steelers dominated the 11th season of the PKL. They had a disappointing start, facing a loss in their first match.

But they bounced back quickly to rise on the points table with convincing victories. The Steelers bagged 16 victories out of their 22 league games to secure the top spot and a semi-final berth.

They were up against UP Yoddhas in the first semi-final on December 27. The Steelers edged past the Yoddhas by 28-25 to make it to their consecutive PKL final.

Dahiya took his team to the final last season, but couldn’t lift the trophy. This time, though, he will try to overcome the final barrier to hand Haryana their first title.

Patna Pirates:

Patna Pirates and Haryana Steelers had a common start to their campaigns, losing their first matches to last season’s winners Puneri Paltan. And now both teams will lock horns in the final.

The Pirates had a topsy-turvy season under the captaincy of Shubham Shinde, either winning games with bigger margins or losing them with smaller margins. They secured 13 wins out of their 22 matches to finish in the fourth spot on the points table.

Unlike the Steelers, the Pirates had to make their way to the final from eliminator and semi-final. They defeated U Mumba by 31-23 in the eliminator and Dabang Delhi K.C. by 32-28 in the second semi-final to set up the final against the Steelers.

Shinde will aim to take the Pirates to their fourth PKL title by taking down Haryana in the final.

Haryana Steelers: Top Performers in PKL 2024

The duo of Vinay and Shivam Pathare commanded Haryana Steelers raiding party throughout the PKL 2024 season. Going into the final, Vinay is the Steelers’ top raider with 160 points in 23 matches, while Pathare follows him closely with 158 points.

On the defence front, Iran’s Mohammadreza Shadloui was the point of difference for the Steelers. He kept their defence strong with his sharp skills while grabbing 77 tackle points. Shadloui currently leads the tackle points chart.

Patna Pirates: Top Performers in PKL 2024

Patna’s Devank and Ayan Lohchab gave a hard time to opponents with their electric raids. Devank is the leading raider this season, with 296 raid points in 24 games. And he looks all set to cross the 300-point barrier in the final. Lohchab is fourth on the list, with 190 points, supporting Devank pretty well.

Speaking of Patna’s defence, Ankit Jaglan has stood as a wall on the mat. He is tied with Shadloui on the tackle points list, with 77 points under his belt.
