The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will stage its 10th season from April 8, 2025 onwards. It will be yet another exciting season as the six participating teams assemble their power-packed squads.
The league will host a player draft ahead of the new edition, with teams expected to strengthen their rosters. Several T20 stars from Pakistan and overseas countries have put their names in the draft set to take place in January 2025.
So here are all the details you need to know about the PSL Draft 2025, including dates, time, and venue.
When will the PSL Draft 2025 happen?
Earlier, the PSL Draft 2025 was scheduled to take place on January 11, 2025. But due to some reasons, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) pushed the event ahead by two days.
Now, as per the revised schedule revealed by the PCB, the player draft will happen on Monday, January 13.
Where will the PSL Draft 2025 take place?
As per initial plans, Gwadar was supposed to host the player draft. But the PCB has changed the location due to logistical reasons.
Now the PSL Draft 2025 will take place at Huzuri Bagh near the Lahore Fort in Lahore.

What time does the PSL Draft 2025 start?
Now with the date and venue fixed, the PSL Draft 2025 will start at 12:30 PM according to the local time. For those following from India, the draft will commence at 1:00 PM IST.

Cricket fans from across the world can catch the PSL Draft live on their devices. The draft will be available for live streaming on Pakistan Super League’s official YouTube channel for viewers from all regions.
How will the PSL Draft 2025 work?
During the draft, teams can sign certain players under different categories. Each team can pick two platinum category players, followed by one diamond, two gold, three silver, two emerging, and four supplementary picks.
Lahore Qalandars will have the honour of making the first pick in the Platinum 1 category. Karachi Kings will make the second pick, while Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United will follow soon with their picks.

PSL 2025: Retained Players List
Before the draft, the PCB allowed each team to retain a maximum of eight players in the squad. Karachi, Peshawar, and Multan retained seven players each, while the other four completed their retention quota.
