Five-time IPL winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) managed to bring back some of their old players during the IPL 2025 mega auction. They had retained six players ahead of the auction and got back some of the players from the last season as well. Apart from this, the former champions have brought some new exciting players. Meanwhile, in this listicle, we will discuss four foreign players who will easily play for the Yellow Brigade.
Four overseas players who will play for CSK
1. Devon Conway/Rachin Ravindra
Only one of the opening batters from New Zealand will get to play for the five-time winners. Conway didn’t play the last season due to a thumb injury while Ravindra did well with the bat. Even Conway did well for the team during their victorious campaign in 2021. It will be interesting to see which player gets the nod.

2. Sam Curran
The T20 World Cup 2022 winner is back with the Yellow brigade for the upcoming season. He previously played for the team in 2020 and 2021 seasons. Meanwhile, the T20 WC 2022 player of the tournament is reunited with his old and given his skills with the bat and ball, Curran can play as an all-rounder.
3. Matheesha Pathirana
The tearaway speedster from Sri Lanka will definitely play for the Ruturaj-Gaikwad led side. Pathirana brings the same skills as Lasith Malinga, who used terrorise batters during his prime. Pathirana’s ability to bowl in the death and middle overs make him a surety in the playing XI.
4. Noor Ahmed
The head coach of the team, Stephen Fleming went all guns blazing for the left-arm leg spinner from Afghanistan. Ahmed’s former team, Gujarat Titans was trying to re-sign him using the Right To Match card. However, Fleming offered 10 crores for the Afghan cricketer and the 2022 winners decided to let him go. The left-arm leg-spinner will definitely play for the team.
