Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman’s participation remains uncertain. Now it seems that Delhi Capitals may lose Mitchell Starc for the remainder of IPL 2025. The reason for Starc’s departure home have been growing Indo-Pak tensions. Following some confusion regarding his situation, he eventually informed the Delhi management that he would not be returning, and so they are now planning without him.
Delhi began training on Thursday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, but only Sri Lankan Dushmantha Chameera, the overseas player, was present. Faf du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs, both from South Africa, will reportedly join the team soon. Kevin Pietersen, the mentor of Delhi, will meet up with them on Friday after taking a break.
Stubbs would not be able to take participate in the playoffs in any capacity if Delhi does make it to the playoffs, as he is obligated to leave by May 27 after being selected for the World Test Championship final.

The city of Delhi will host Gujarat Titans on Sunday, May 18, with training set to take place at their ground, Aerocity, on Friday; Gujarat, meanwhile, arrived on Thursday evening and will have their own training session on that day.
