India Women vs England Women ODI series is tied and England has surprised everyone before the final game. All-rounder Alice Capsey is leaving the England squad to join Surrey for the Women’s One-Day Cup.
Capsey Won’t Play in Series Decider Against India
The series decider between England and India is on Tuesday, July 22 at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street but Capsey won’t be there. Many fans were hoping to see Capsey in the playing XI at some point during the ODI series but she didn’t play in the first two matches.
With the series tied 1-1 the team has decided to let her play for Surrey. Surrey will face Hampshire Women in Match 35 of the ECB Women’s One Day Cup on Thursday, July 24 at Guildford Bason.
Alice Capsey is a main player in England’s white ball team but she hasn’t had much game time in this series. This is likely the reason why the team has decided to let her play elsewhere. The 20-year-old has played 26 ODIs, scored 343 runs and taken 12 wickets. Now she’ll try to make a mark in domestic games.
