Rishabh Pant is continuing to do well in the ongoing Test series against England. He has achieved another record in Test cricket, becoming the first keeper-batter to reach a special milestone.
In the first innings of the Manchester Test, Pant made history as the first visiting keeper to score 1,000 Test runs in England. He’s also the sixth Indian to get 1,000 Test runs in England, which he achieved with his 19th run of the day. No other visiting keeper has 800 runs in England, but Pant went past 1,000. The next best is MS Dhoni who had 778 runs in England.
Pant is now in the list of Indian players with 1,000 runs in England. This list includes Sachin Tendulkar (1575), Rahul Dravid (1376), Sunil Gavaskar (1152), Virat Kohli (1096), and KL Rahul (1035). He achieved the milestone in his 14th match and now has an average of 42 in England.

In this Test series against England, Pant has broken records that were held by MS Dhoni. He’s now the Indian keeper with the most Test centuries, with 8. He’s also the only wicket-keeper to have multiple Test centuries in England (4) and in the Headingley Test, he became only the second keeper after Andy Flower to score two Test tons in the same game.
Pant has 4 Test centuries in England, which is joint second most Test tons in England. He is equal with Tendulkar, KL Rahul and Dilip Vengsarkar at second spot, with Dravid at the top (6 Test tons). He will want to continue his run and score runs for India in the first innings.
