The Indian team’s boycott of the Pakistan team during a recent T20 competition, which had former international cricketers playing, caused quite a stir. The Indian team, led by Yuvraj Singh and as defending champs, didn’t play Pakistan in a league match and then the semi-final game. Because of this, they were out of the competition.
Pakistan moved forward to the title game but got beat badly by South Africa. Suresh Raina, who used to play for India and was on Yuvraj’s team, spoke highly of South Africa’s performance and called attention to AB de Villiers’ great century that won the game.
Raina put on X, That was an amazing hit by @ABdeVilliers17 in the final, he destroyed it. Raina thought that the Indian team would have done just as well, but the players thought their country was more important than the game. He said, If we had played, we would’ve defeated them (Pakistan) too, but we put our country first.
What a knock by @ABdeVilliers17 in the final, absolutely smashed it

Had we played, we would’ve crushed them too, but we chose our nation above everything else.
Full respect to @EaseMyTrip and @nishantpitti for standing firm and not supporting any match involving them. That’s…
De Villiers Hits Pakistan Hard
Pakistan got to the final as the only team that hadn’t lost. They had won four out of five games. One of them was stopped early against India. South Africa had only lost once in the league stage, and that was against Pakistan.
First up to bat, South Africa created a score of 195/5 in 20 overs. Sharjeel Khan knocked 75 runs in 44 balls. Wayne Parnell and Hardus Viljoen each took two wickets for South Africa. De Villiers kept up his great plays and made the chase easy. He made 120 runs not out of 60 balls, including 12 fours and seven sixes. South Africa got the score in just 16.5 overs, winning by nine wickets. JP Duminy also played well, making 50 runs off 28 balls to make sure they won the chase.
