The first edition of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy ended in a 2-2 draw but the story goes beyond that.
India sent a young team without Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin. This team fought hard. One player, a 25-year-old, scored centuries in three English cities and made tons of runs. Even without Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling attack did well.
Overall it was a series for the record books with Indian batters leading the way and bowlers proving their worth. Let’s look at what happened over the last month and a half.

- 7000-plus runs in the series: The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was full of runs, with over 7000 runs scored in the five Tests. This is only the second time this has happened, after the 1993 Ashes (7221 runs). India scored 3809 runs, the second-highest by a team in a Test series, after Australia’s 3877 in the 1989 Ashes. India hit 470 boundaries, most ever in a single Test series.
