New Base Price for Jersey Sponsorship
The BCCI has raised the base price for the Indian cricket team’s jersey sponsorship to INR 3.5 crore per match for bilateral series and INR 1.5 crore per match for multilateral events like ICC and ACC tournaments. This represents a roughly 10% increase for bilateral games and a 3% increase for multilateral fixtures compared to previous rates.
Sponsorship Period and Coverage
The new sponsorship deal will span three years and cover approximately 130 matches. This includes marquee events like the T20 World Cup 2026 and the ODI World Cup 2027. The BCCI expects to generate over INR 400 crore from this sponsorship cycle, with the final amount depending on the bidding outcome.

Timeline
The BCCI has invited bids for the national team lead sponsor rights, with the bidding process scheduled for September 16, 2025. The new sponsor will not be onboarded before the Asia Cup starting September 9, 2025, as there will be no interim sponsorship arrangement.
Restrictions on Bidders
Companies involved in gaming, betting, cryptocurrency, tobacco, alcohol, and some consumer goods sectors conflicting with existing sponsors are barred from participating in the bidding process. This ensures brand alignment and regulatory compliance.
Reason for Change and Dream11 Exit

The previous sponsor Dream11 exited early due to the Indian government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which restricts real-money gaming operations in India. Dream11’s original deal was reportedly valued around INR 358 crore and was supposed to last until 2026.
