Managed and organized by the ICC-International Cricket Council, the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup would be the 14th edition of the Cricket World Cup. This tournament will be organized in the month of October- November in the year 2027 and will follow a round robin and knockout format.
The 14th edition of the tournament will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, marking the second time that South Africa and Zimbabwe have co-hosted the event since the 2003 edition, while it will be Namibia’s first time hosting. This edition will host 14 participants from all round the world who would be competing in the 54 matches to lift the title.
India will enter with dreams of taking revenge on the last edition final and Australia will enter the competition as the defending champions, having won the previous edition by defeating India in the final.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 Schedule and Dates
Cricket World Cup 2027 is yet to be released for the general public but as per the past editions of the tournament, we can have an idea of the schedules of the same. The cricket world cup 2027 is going to be organized in the month of October and november in the year 2027. It would follow a schedule of at least a month.
The actual schedule for the tournament would be released prior a month of the tournament commencement as per the past match schedules.
The teams will go in a head to head clash against one another in the league matches and then will follow the knockout format of the tournament. In this the top four teams on the points table will get on battle against one another to compete for the finale race in the semi-finals and the the two winners of these matches would go against one another in the finale of the tournament.

2027 Cricket World Cup Format
The 14th edition of the ICC Cricket world cup would be the same as the 2023 13th edition where a total of fourteen teams would compete in the ODI 50 over format and the teams that would participate would be the ones who are listed in the top 8 ranks of the ICC (International Cricket Council) based on their rankings from the 2023 Cricket World Cup group stage. And the other four teams would be the ones from the 2026 Cricket World Cup Qualifier which are yet to be announced.
Group stage
The teams would be divided in two groups of seven teams each, these teams would go in head to head clashes in the round robin format and based on their performance on the points table the top three teams from each group would advance to the SUPER- SIX stage of the tournament.

Super Six stage
The top three teams from each group would enter the super six stage where these six teams would compete for the knockout stage of the tournament and out of these 6 only four teams would advance to the Knockout stage.
Semi finals/ Knockout stage
Following the group stage or semi finals stage the teams will be going against one another in the semi final 1 and semi final 2 and the winner from these two will go for the ultimate clash in the finale of the tournament.
2027 Cricket World Cup Final
The semi finals would be followed by the final, the final showdown of the tournament where the top two performing teams would be batting to lift the coveted trophy in their hands.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 Host
South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia are the host countries for the ICC Cricket World cup. These countries will host the matches of the world cup on grounds of twelve different locations: including 8 from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
As the host nation, South Africa, and Zimbabwe automatically qualified for the competition. They now would be joined by the top eight teams from the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings and four from the 2026 cricket world cup qualifiers.
Although Namibia will co-host the competition for the first time, they are not guaranteed a spot in the tournament because they are not a full ICC member. Consequently, Namibia will have to go through the standard qualification process
