The former Pakistani woman cricketer and now commentator Sana Mir has come under immense criticism for uttering a controversial comment during the ongoing Women’s ODI World Cup. The comment came during the Sri Lanka-Pakistan match in Colombo while Mir was on commentary duty. In the video that has now gone viral on social media, the 39-year-old seemed to backtrack, saying that Natalia belongs to ‘Azad Kashmir’, which India considers Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The cricketer-turned-commentator was much maligned on social media for her comments.
Bangladesh beat Pakistan by seven wickets, chasing down the target of 130 with 113 balls to spare.
Player ‘from Azad Kashmir’ is this kind of commentary allowed?

An unbeaten half-century by Rubya Haider and her match-winning partnership with Skipper Nigar Sultana, supported by fine bowling by young pacer Marufa Akter, helped Bangladesh humiliate an under-prepared Pakistan.
On coming out to bat at No. 3, Rubya played 77 balls to remain unbeaten on 54 with 8 fours and shared a 62-run partnership with captain Sultana for the third wicket as Bangladesh chased the target of 130 with 113 balls remaining, scoring 131 for 3 in 31.1 overs.
Rubya started off cautiously after Bangladesh lost opening batsmen Fargana Hoque and Sharmin Akhter early but then brushed away the pressure with a flurry of boundaries once she got her eye in.
The three boundaries in the 19th over from Pakistan veteran left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu were crucial in putting Bangladesh into the driver’s seat.
