The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been selected for the first time in the India A team for the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025. The event will be held in Qatar from November 14 to 23.
On Monday, the BCCI announced the team of 15 members, consisting of Jitesh Sharma as the captain and Naman Dhir as the vice-captain.
Jitesh, the man who has won praise for his performances in international T20I and IPL, will be at the helm of a squad that is vibrant with youth and potential.

Among the most players to watch out for is Priyansh Arya, who made a big impression in IPL 2025 with his adventurous batting style.
Along with him, the picking of Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been especially highlighted since the young prodigy has ruled the junior cricket circuit with his regular centuries and dazzling performances.
The team will also include the likes of Nehal Wadhera, Yash Thakur, Harsh Dubey, Abhishek Porel, Yudhvir Singh, and many more.
The tournament will be hosted at the West End International Cricket Stadium, Doha, and India A will be in Group B along with UAE, Oman, and Pakistan A.

India’s first match is against the UAE on November 14, and the team will have to face high-profile contests against Pakistan A and Oman next, on November 16 and 18, respectively.
The question remains what will be India A’s approach towards Pakistan. There were a number of incidents during the Men’s senior Asia Cup 2025 that drew a lot of attention, as India deliberately refrained from shaking hands with the Pakistan team and also declined to accept the trophy from the PCB and ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
