Duleep Trophy tends to be the most important tournament of the domestic season. Administered by the BCCI, this tournament falls under First Class cricket format of the Cricket. The 2024 edition of the Duleep Trophy would be the 61st edition of the tournament in continuation since first edition in 1961-62. The competition has largely been contested by teams representing various geographical zones of India since the first edition in 1961–62. But as per the latest news and update in the teams format the zonal format of the tournament has been replaced with the new format. A total of four international Indian level teams will be participating in the tournament. The teams for the competition are India A, B, C and D.
As the tournament progresses through, after consecutive test matches the team B and Team D will clash in the 5th match. The match is scheduled to take place from September 19th to September 22nd at the ACA ADCA Ground in Anantapur.
