The final of the ongoing Men’s Big Bash League 2024-25 (BBL) will be played between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunders. Both teams are playing for the first time in many years. The Hurricanes’ last BBL final was in the 2017-18 season against Adelaide Strikers which they lost. On the other hand, the Thunders’ only final before this was in the 2015-16 season, which they won.
The two-time finalists, Hobart have had a great season, apart from 74 all-out against three-time winners, Sydney Sixers. On the other hand, the 2015-16 winners have had it tough as they finished third. They had to win against Melbourne Stars and the Sixers to reach the final. While the Purple brigade, Hurricanes, is looking for their maiden title, the Green Brigade is looking to reclaim another one after nine years.
