India tour of Australia (5 Tests)
Not just India and Australia, the world saw the two best Test sides facing each other in one of the most prestigious series, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. This took place in Australia, and they couldn’t beat India at home in the last two attempts. Australia tour of Sri Lanka (2 Tests)
The reigning World Test Championship winner Australia went to Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series and as many ODIs as a part of preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. For the first time after 2011, the Aussies won a Test series in Sri Lanka.

Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan)
The two-time champions then played in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which was scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Australia won the Champions Trophy in 2006 and 2009 and were searching for their third title. World Test Championship 2023-25 Final
The finalists for the 2025 World Test Championship are set. Australia will defend their title against South Africa at Lord’s in June. Australia secured their spot after a thrilling win over India in the Border-Gavaskar series 2024-25, while South Africa qualified with a tense Boxing Day Test victory against Pakistan. Sri Lanka, who host Australia in January, cannot catch up to the top two teams. Australia will face South Africa starting 11 June to 16 June for the prestigious WTC mace.
Australia Tour of West Indies 2025 (2 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)
Just after the WTC final 2023-25, Australia will tour West Indies for a multi-format series. These two teams will face off against each other in two tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The test series will be part of the next WTC cycle 2025-27, so it will be important. The schedule for Australia’s tour of West Indies 2025 has yet to be announced, but it will be played between June and July 2025.
South Africa Tour of Australia 2025 (3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)
In August 2025, Australia will host South Africa for six white-ball matches. This series will be important as in 2026, there is the ICC T20 World Cup in India. Both teams will play three ODIs and three T20Is. The schedule of South Africa’s tour of Australia 2025 has yet to be announced.
Australia Tour of New Zealand 2025 (3 T20Is)
Australia then will head to New Zealand, where they will face the Black Caps for a three-match T20I series in October 2025. This will be another important assignment to check the preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in India. The schedule of Australia’s tour of New Zealand 2025 has yet to be announced.
India Tour of Australia 2025 (3 ODIs and 5 T20Is)
India will be back in Australia in 2025. This time, they will play 8 white-ball matches. India and Australia will face each other in three ODIs and five T20Is, which will be played in October and November 2025. The schedule has yet to be announced.
