In his last Twenty20 International, Andre Russell got a guard of honor from his West Indies teammates and the Australian team. Russell had said the Tuesday game would be his last.
Russell, a great T20 all-rounder and fast bowler/hitter, won two T20 World Cups before. The 37-year-old Jamaican was also given a special gift to remember the day.

In his last T20I innings, Russell played to his strengths, hitting the ball around the park. He scored 36 off 15, 2 fours and 4 sixes, helping the West Indies to 172/8 at Sabina Park, his home ground. He was out in the 17th over to Nathan Ellis.
Before the five-match T20I series started, Russell said he would retire after the first two games.

Russell said representing the West Indies was one of his greatest achievements. He said he never thought he would get to this level as a child, once he started playing he wanted to do well and inspire others. He loves playing for the West Indies and wants to end his international career strong, be an example for young cricketers in the Caribbean.
