The five-Test match series commencing on June 20 is going to be one of the biggest moments in Indian cricket as it will be the first series in Test cricket after the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. A few young players might be named in the squad, and we might have an important T20 player finally getting to play in Test cricket.
As per The Telegraph, Arshdeep Singh is likely to be named in the squad for the England series. The selection committee, chaired by Ajit Agarkar, has reportedly instructed the left-arm fast bowler to be prepared to make his Test debut. The ability to swing the ball has been considered a major factor for his selection.

Shubman Gill or Rishabh Pant who will lead?
It has been reported that Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant emerge as the principal contenders to take over as Test captain after Jasprit Bumrah dropped out of the race, probably because he would not be able to play in all five Tests owing to workload considerations.
Somewhat of a division exists among the selectors on choosing a captain. One selector remains unsure about Gill since he is not even a regular starter in Tests and believes he is more suited to be vice-captain.
