This 13th edition of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will be held between September 30 to November 2 in five venues in India and Sri Lanka. According to the ICC’s announcement, the stadiums to be used are M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premdasa Stadium in Colombo.
The tournament will start with India on September 30 in Bengaluru. The first semi-final will take place on October 29 at either Guwahati or Colombo and the second semi-final will be held on October 30 at Bengaluru. The final will then take place on November 2 at either venue.
Eight teams will compete: India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Australia holds the record for the most titles, having won seven times, while England has won four times, and New Zealand has won once. India, after having finished runners-up in 2005 and 2017, will want to finally win a title on home soil this year, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana expected to serve as vice-captain.

Previously, it was also reported that matches, including the final, were to be hosted by Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur; however, this has been dropped from the official list by the ICC. To prepare, India will play three ODIs against England in July and three against Australia in Chennai in September.
