Today is July 1 and India Women will play England Women in the 2nd T20I of the 5 match series in Bristol. After the big win in the first match, fans are wondering if captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be back in the team.
Harmanpreet got a head injury during the warm up match against ECB Development XI last week. She was kept out of the first T20I in Nottingham as a precaution. The team didn’t want to risk her health.
In the first match, Smriti Mandhana took over as captain and scored a century. She scored 112 off 62 balls with 15 fours and 3 sixes. This helped India score 210/5 and became the highest score by an Indian woman in T20Is, beating Harmanpreet’s old record.
India won the match by 97 runs. Harleen Deol scored 43 and Shreyanka Patil took 4/12. For England, Lauren Bell (3/27) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (66) were the only ones who did well.

Will Harmanpreet play today? Sneh Rana gave an update on Harmanpreet’s condition.
Good news; she practiced today. She will be checked and watched after the practice, she said, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.
Even though Harmanpreet is back in practice, the final call will depend on how she feels after practice and what the medical team says.
As of now, there is no official word on whether Harmanpreet will play today. But she’s practicing again so that’s a good sign.
