Reports suggest Jasprit Bumrah is having a knee issue. He didn’t miss the 5th Test because of workload but because of a knee injury. He sat out the Oval Test because of it.
According to TOI, Jasprit hurt his knee but won’t need surgery. He’s left the team and will start rehab at BCCI’s center in Bengaluru soon.
BCCI hasn’t said anything official about the injury but a source told TOI that Bumrah does have a knee injury. Good news is it’s not serious and he won’t need surgery. BCCI medical team is waiting for his scan results, the source said.
Looks like Jasprit Bumrah won’t be playing in Asia Cup 2025 which starts on September 9.
This is the second time this year Bumrah has been hurt. He also missed Champions Trophy because of a back injury from 5th Test against Australia.

Jasprit played 3 Tests in this tour but he didn’t look his best. He didn’t bowl as fast as he used to and had ankle issues after falling down the stairs.
India will miss Bumrah in Asia Cup and will have to rethink their strategy for the tournament.
