Lionel Messi, the soccer superstar, is coming to India and will be at Wankhede Stadium on December 14 for a big event. You can watch cricket balls being hit and see a soccer legend in person. Wankhede will add another chapter to its history.
The Times of India reported that the event organizers, Wizcraft, asked the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for permission and got it. MCA’s main council approved it in a recent meeting. You will need a ticket to get in. The report also said that a few Indian cricketers will be there.
Mumbai is not the only city getting a visit. Messi will be in Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai from December 13 to 15. Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host a big event and West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be there.
During the Kolkata part of his trip, Messi will also conduct a soccer clinic for kids, launch a soccer training program and kick off The GOAT Cup.

Kerala Might Host Messi and Argentina for a Match
In other news, Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman had said in June that the Argentina team with Messi might play a match at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram in October or November. The state government will host the team and give them special treatment.
Messi’s Second Visit to India
Messi has been to India before. In 2011 he played a match against Venezuela in Kolkata. But this time it’s different. He’s not just playing; he’s being celebrated and welcomed as a global icon.
