Kraigg Brathwaite has reached a major milestone by playing his 100th Test, joining the elite group of West Indies greats. The right-handed opener is now 10th on the list of most Tests played by a West Indies player.
He has scored 5943 runs so far with 12 centuries and a highest score of 212. His average is 32.83. Not bad for a guy who has won several Tests for the West Indies over the years. With the ball he has taken 29 wickets with a best of 6 for 29.
Kraigg Brathwaite will play his 100th Test against Australia this week. Since his Test debut in 2011 he has become the 10th West Indian to reach the 100-Test mark.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul leads the list of West Indies players with most Tests played with 164 between 1994 and 2015. Then there’s fast bowler Courtney Walsh (132) and batting stars Brian Lara (130) and Sir Vivian Richards (121).

Kraigg Brathwaite stepped down as Test captain earlier this year and Roston Chase took over. The 32-year-old all-rounder has played 49 Tests since 2016 and has scored over 2000 runs and taken 85 wickets. His new role begins a new chapter for West Indies cricket and we hope his leadership will bring consistency and intensity to the team’s performances.
